BBA Retail under AEDP:

Basis the feedbacks received from Industry & Academia, there has been a demand to make OJT/ Apprenticeship training flexible with respect to the duration, tenure etc under the apprenticeship curriculum of BBA in Retail Operations. Such demands have been received by Industry as well as the Academic institutions which have been contributing immensely towards creating a talent supply pool for the Industry under this programme.

Keeping both the views in mind, RASCI has unplugged the OJT of 21 months at a stretch and ensured that the same is delivered in capsules through 3 different apprenticeship contracts for each apprentice under this programme. This will enable the industries to contract the apprentices under BBA Retail in the below model:

Academic Year Apprenticeship Curriculum Course Code Duration in mths NAPS benefit (Y/N)
| Instore Cashiering and Merchandising Operations CO092300003 12 Yes
|| Retail Sales Associate CO082300004 06 No
||| Retail Team Leader CO042200004 09 No
Note:
  • The above model is only applicable for students/ candidates enrolled under AEDP in Retail programs.
  • The Industry/ TPA/ College intending to run the apprenticeship programme under BBA in Retail Operations, must be a party and should have signed the MoU (pre-requisite for contract generation) with RASCI to adopt and implement this programme.
  • The apprentice must have been admitted into a college after pass in 10+2 and must be pursuing the BBA in Retail Operations/ AEDP with academic institute that has signed MoU with RASCI to adopt and implement this programme offline/ online.
  • Assumption is the Apprenticeship commences from the month of September/ as per the start of first year cycle for the 1st Semester Students (new student) every academic year.
  • Three different contracts will have to be generated based on the tenure completion of each contract to get the benefit of this course.
  • Though, the contracts are on the above curriculum and duration, the OJT will happen as per the OJT calendarized schedule agreed between RASCI & the industry.
  • Considering the 3 day per week model this could be stretched to 3 years based on the start and end date of the contract.
