Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI) is a company registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 as a not-for-profit company recognized by the National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) as an awarding body. It is supported by retail industry leaders and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to function as the apex skill development, standard-setting & awarding/certifying body for short-term and long-term education and skilling initiatives across academic and vocational institutions for the retail industry and its sub-sectors.
RASCI wishes to appoint a Chief Executive Officer, based at Mumbai.
Competencies expected from the candidate include:
People management skills, Analytical skills, Domain expertise, Industry knowledge of retail business in India, Strategic thinking, Effective decision-making, Teamwork.
The major function of the CEO is to lead the Council to achieve the desired goals as set by the Board of Directors and the Annual Business Plan, as outlined by NSDC. The incumbent would also be required to operate according to the protocols set by the regulator National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).
The incumbent should have a minimum educational qualification of Post Graduation such as an MBA or Chartered Accountancy, with at least 15 years of experience in the consumer-facing (B2C) Retail Industry, out of which a minimum of 6 years must be in a CXO position. At least 5 years of experience in skilling is mandatory. A post-graduate degree in Human Resources would be an added advantage. The maximum age limit for the CEO position is 60 years.
